Joint mode of packing belt:

A) Hot melt lap type. It adopts heating methods such as electric heating welding, mechanical high frequency oscillation welding and ultrasonic welding. It is a way of bonding the plastic belt joint after the surface of the plastic belt is heated and melted, then the two melt surfaces of the belt end are lapped together and kept under a certain pressure for a certain period of time until the melting surface condenses. The joint mode is suitable for polypropylene plastic belt, because if the polypropylene plastic belt is mechanically fixed with iron buckle, its strength is only 50% of the base material, and the adhesive connection is not applicable.

B) Iron buckle type. This method is to use the one-way work of the ratchet of the tensioner to tensify the belt, and then place an iron buckle at the joint, and then make the iron buckle cover the two layers of belt with clamps, and the side teeth of the iron buckle are concave and convex tooth shape, and bite the belt will not cause its loosening. Iron buckle is usually made of galvanized iron sheet, the operation should be based on the strapping belt model to choose the appropriate specifications of iron buckle.

C) Ligation. This kind of joint is made of soft plastic rope, hemp rope and so on, and the joint is made into a slip knot. This joint mode is not only firm and beautiful, but also easy to untie.

Steel straps

It is generally used to make very heavy loads into one piece of transport or to fix loads in train cars, trailers or ocean cargo vessels. It is rarely used for contracted loads that have sunk or shifted after lashing, but it can be used firmly to tie compressed loads and is often used for rigid loads.

Nylon packing tape

With high continuous tension, it is generally used for heavy goods and contractive loads that can withstand high initial tension. Its elongation and recovery rate are greater than those of polyester or polypropylene strapping. It is the most expensive plastic strapping.

Polypropylene packing tape

It is the cheapest strapping material and is generally used for strapping, bundling and sealing cartons for lighter loads. Polypropylene packing tape has high elongation and recovery rate, but not as good as other plastic packing tape in terms of sustained tension.

Polyester packing tape

Highest strength and continuous tension in plastic packing tape. Polyester packing tape is an excellent strapping material for rigid loads that require constant strapping tension during loading, unloading, transportation, and storage. It is commonly used in applications requiring high tensile strength, high sustained tension and elongation. In many cases, its performance is similar to that of a lightweight specification steel packing belt.
